• Selected from over 100 applicants as a member of the Council of State Government's Western Legislative Academy, a week-long training seminar in Ft. Collins, CO.

• Honored by Americans for Tax Reform for his fight to lower taxes. Mike was invited to Washington, D.C. for a 3-day lecture series. The highlight of this trip was a visit to the White House and the opportunity to meet personally with President George W. Bush.
