Governor
John Huntsman – Utah
We need Rep. Mike Morley’s leadership and conservative voice in the Utah House of Representatives. Over the past six years, Mike has distinguished himself as a true conservative dedicated to Republican principles and his unyielding commitment to these principles is needed to uphold our designation as the best-run state in the nation. I look to Mike’s business sense, his good judgment and firm commitment to strengthening families. I hope you will join with me in supporting the re-election of Rep. Mike Morley.

Rep. Dave Clark

House Majority Leader
Rep. Dave Clark - Santa Clara
As a business owner for the past twenty plus years, Rep. Mike Morley has seen firsthand both the opportunities and challenges that have come with our State’s remarkable growth. I know he has a love for our State and is committed to the values that have made it strong.
Rep. Mike Morley has been a strong voice for limited government, accountability for expenditure of taxpayer money, and knowledgeable, effective representation on all issues. As Utah continues to face these challenges we can not afford to lose Rep. Mike Morley effective voice in the Legislature.
It has been my privilege to work with Rep. Mike Morley to promote solid Republican positions that have resulted in Utah’s recognition as the best-managed State in the Nation.

Rep. Greg Curtis
|
Speaker of the House
Rep. Greg Curtis – Sandy
It has been my privilege to serve with Rep. Mike Morley over the last six years in the Utah House of Representatives. Rep, Morley is a man of the highest moral character and committed to the conservative principles of family, limited government and fiscal responsibility.
As Speaker of the House, I have the responsibility to appoint Representatives to serve on different committees and I have asked Rep. Morley to serve in some very critical positions including on the prestigious Rules Committee and as Chair of the Commerce and Workforce Services Appropriations Committee. In addition, when Governor Huntsman formed the Minimum Wage Task Force, Rep, Morley was my choice to serve because I trusted that he would bring a strong business point of view to the group.
Rep Morley has been an asset to the Utah House of Representatives. However and even more importantly, he has been a consistent and powerful voice for the people of his district.
Please return Rep Morley to the House of Representatives.

Rep. Carl Wimmer – Herriman
I would usually not interject myself into another person’s campaign; however, after seeing some of the misinformation being disseminated in the district 66 race for The Utah State Legislature, I felt compelled to write.
It is one of the greatest honors of my life to serve with your current Representative Mike Morley. As a recently retired law enforcement officer, ethics, honesty and integrity are a way of life for me; I expect nothing less from the people I serve with. Unfortunately, there are indeed those in elective offices which use the position to get gain; contrary to the mud slinging by his opponent however, Mike Morley is NOT one of them.
I have gotten to know Representative Morley very well over the past two years. As a newly elected Representative, he was one of the first people to “take me under his wing” and make me feel welcome. I know Rep. Morley to be one of the most honest, kind and forthright legislators in the entire state. I look up to him as an example of the way a principled politician should be.
Representative Morley goes out of his way to be a gentleman to all of his associates. In a political world where ideological differences often create discontent and mistrust amongst Representatives of opposing political parties, Mike has learned how to stick to his deep rooted principles, yet still befriend those with whom he disagrees. He is one of the most respected legislators in the entire state, by both Republicans and Democrats.
I would ask the delegates of District 66 to look at the issues from a legitimate and honest stand point. Look at Representative Morley’s voting record and you will see one of true principle. Utah needs more men like Rep. Mike Morley. I strongly encourage you to re-elect Representative Mike Morley for House District 66.

Rep. Becky Lockhart
|
Vice-Chair Executive Appropriations Committee
Rep. Becky Lockhart
One thing I can say with absolute certainty: every vote Mike Morley makes is based on principle. I support Mike because he is a straight forward, no games, ethical legislator who makes good decisions in behalf of his district and the state. When Mike sponsors legislation, he does so thoughtfully and deliberatively after seeking input from all affected parties. If anything is overlooked, he stops the bill to get it right. This is one reason he is so well-respected by me and those that serve with him.

Utah Republican Assembly
The Utah Republican Assembly held its Endorsing Convention Saturday, May 24, 2008, in Orem, and voted to endorse a number of Republican candidates from around the State of Utah. "These are Republican candidates who are solid conservatives," said Assembly President Larry Meyers, "and we are pleased to give them our full support in the 2008 elections." Three Utah House candidates, [including] incumbent Mike Morley (Spanish Fork) … spoke at the Convention and won endorsements from the group. The Assembly is a nonprofit organization of conservative Republicans with chapters in Salt Lake, Utah, and Washington counties. The Assembly, which was re-established in Utah in 2005, is founded on traditional conservative principles, such as support for the U.S. Constitution, defending American sovereignty, limiting government and taxes, and promoting individual responsibility and liberties.
